The children go hungry
Crying themselves to sleep
Their parents feeling helpless
Can do no more than weep
No clean water anywhere
Malnutrition at its peak.
Infection in the air it spreads
Quicker than fast fire it grows
No doctors to give the meds
This is a world full of lows.
