The Brit Awards 2015

So, along with a lot of you i'm sure - I watched The Brits last night. If you haven't, I'm sure you have all seen the videos by now of Kanye's song being repeatedly muted and Madonna being pulled over. These are the main parts that I found the most interesting.

I'm glad that Sam Smith won 'Best British Breakthrough' act as his voice is incredible - both live and on his album. But, from working in retail, I have heard his album on repeat many a time! Ed Sheeran won 'British Male Solo Artist', what can I say? I love a bit of Sheeran's album playing on Spotify whilst i'm doing work. His performance was breathtaking and I couldn't take my eyes away from the screen (but I think he may need new guitar strings after) Now, for T-Swift - I think it was clear that she was going to be the overall winner of 'Brit International Female Solo Artist' with her catchy, poppy songs that you can't help but sing along to. Although, I am surprised that Kanye didn't get up onto stage like he has the last two years! Maybe because Kim K was there to reign him in. Looking at Kim K's outfit... the top half is beautiful, but the bottom half (literally bottom half) was.. interesting. She has the tiniest legs and a huge arse, it just didn't look right.

Talking about Kanye, I didn't know what to do during his perfomance. For one, I was confused about the amount of people on stage bopping around - with a random fire hose. Then noticing that ITV had audio muted parts that he swore... which was most of the song. I'm sure he won't be happy when he hears a play back of it. What was amusing was when the camera kept turning toward certain people to see their expressions. Lional Ritchie looked in awe and shock, whilst Taylor Swift, again - looked shocked at first, but the second time she was seen white girl dancing to his song (I don't get how you can dance to it anyway)

Madonna. It was a huge build up to her perfomance, which for me - I wasn't really fussed about watching. It was all going so well at first, but then, as she struggled to get her cape off, two dancers went to pull it off - bringing her down the steps and onto her back. I didn't know what to do! Applause for her getting up and carrying on though, I think I would have burst into tears and ran off the stage. It was a bit ironic how she was singing about 'getting up' and 'carrying on' though, but I'm presuming her fall wasn't meant to happen. But, as Edna said - 'NO CAPES!'

I'm quite annoyed that Ed Sheeran didn't win the 'Brit Award for British Video', because it is lovely - and shows how much hard work and effort he had to put into making that by learning dance moves and also losing weight throughout it (I know that's from swapping beer to vodka, but hey, it sounds like a hell of a good diet!) (and I think he'll be feeling the Brits after party alcohol today) But, I guess, fair play to One Direction as obviously the majority of people voted for them to win. Simon looked extremely happy when he went up onto stage to collect it, but I don't get what Jimmy Carr was going on about with his jokes. He's usually funny in some cases when he's on his own, but last night - his jokes didn't do him justice.

What did you all think to The Brits? Was it has good as previous years? I don't think it'll ever be as scandalous as when the Osbourne family presented it!
